# TacticBar

> TacticBar is a native macOS menu bar app for solving quick chess puzzles without opening a separate window.

TacticBar is developed by Simon Edwardsson in the United Kingdom. It is designed for macOS 14.7 and later and is currently awaiting approval for release on the Mac App Store.

The app adapts puzzle difficulty to the player. An optional Lichess connection can request unseen puzzles, seed difficulty from the player's Lichess puzzle rating, and submit rated puzzle outcomes. TacticBar can also be used without a Lichess account. App progress and preferences are stored locally on the Mac.
